Legal Research in the Digital Age [Infographic]

Finding the most recent case law on a specific legal issue has long been a time-consuming – yet absolutely essential – task for legal professionals. Legal research is a big part of your working day, whether you’re a graduate or a QC.

Like most parts of legal practice, digital technologies are changing the way research is carried out. Time savings are, of course, one of the biggest benefits.

We recently conducted a survey with 543 of our Australian and New Zealand customers to better understand the role of legal research in their work, how it’s carried out and the way they view research tools. We asked a range of professionals, including solicitors, knowledge managers, paralegals, barristers and academics, how much time they spend on everyday legal tasks and how essential online research tools are to their success.
