Thomson Reuters and Lawyers Weekly recently partnered to investigate technology trends within in-house legal departments. We surveyed in-house legal professionals about the biggest challenges they face in their role and technology adoption within their legal department: what they have, what they’d like to have, their awareness of available solutions, the decision-making process and more.
We found that in-house legal teams often don’t have the same access to legal technology as their law firm counterparts. However, when technology is adopted, it improves productivity, reduces costs and helps in-house counsel deliver better services to their internal clients.
The survey’s findings revealed a few more surprises and confirmed some trends; its key findings are summarised below.
