Many of Australia\u2019s largest firms performed well in the financial year (FY) of 2022. The market may serve as a beacon for other firms globally who are similarly managing against recession fears, rising costs, and competition for talent<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Financial year 2022 dubbed a \u201ctale of two halves\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

FY 2022 is described as a \u201ctale of two halves” in the report. *Demand for legal services rose to a strong 6.4% in the first half, but declined 2.1% in the second half. Corporate work, including mergers & acquisitions, which led much of the demand growth in the first half of the year, has since cooled off. However, *worked rate growth was especially robust, averaging 6.5%, compared to just 1.6% in FY 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
