The survey findings reveal the intersections of talent and technology, and identify trends that are shaping client service delivery and ways of working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Technology has played a key role in the evolution of the Australian legal sector. Law firms and legal departments are rapidly finding new ways to optimise client service delivery and collaborate. They are also increasingly embracing tech to improve their legal operations,&#8221; said Carl Olson, Vice President of Proposition for Asia and Emerging Markets, Thomson Reuters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;Update 24 August, 2023: Read the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/insight.thomsonreuters.com.au\/legal\/resources\/resource\/tech-and-the-law-2023\">Tech &amp; the Law 2023<\/a><\/em> report on Legal Insight.>>>><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preview of key insights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Divided across two parts, <em>Tech and the Law 2022<\/em> offers take-aways for practitioners looking do more with the technology they have, or unlock efficiencies with increased investment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Private practice <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nearly half of the private practice professionals surveyed (45%) highlighted improving operations and workflows through technology as a top three priority for their practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Over four in five private practice professionals (81%) regard more efficient processes as their most valued way of working.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;COVID-19 has really lifted the bar for digital transformation, enabling quality legal service delivery via an increasingly virtual workforce.&#8221; <\/p>\n<cite>&#8211; Carl Olson, Vice President &#8211; Proposition, Thomson Reuters in Asia and Emerging Markets<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Corporate counsel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Over one in two legal departments indicated that creating processes for managing in-house legal requests (52%) was what they valued the most.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strategic business advice was a priority for nearly three in five legal departments surveyed (57%), while managing and\/or mitigating compliance risks was cited as a top priority for over two in five (43%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You are one step away from the Thomson Reuters&#8217; <em>Tech &amp; the Law 2022<\/em> report.
