Our survey found that 78% of professionals believe AI is a \u201cforce for good\u201d in their profession.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/insight.thomsonreuters.com.au\/legal\/posts\/ai-legal-assistant-guide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Professional grade AI assistants<\/a> are becoming more widely accepted in the workplace. However, the integration of genAI tools and systems into work processes means employers need to invest in AI literacy and ongoing education on use cases. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The benefits of embedded genAI in work processes can apply to a wide range of industries. About 77% of professionals surveyed have a positive outlook on genAI as the tools and systems are designed to alleviate the burden of manual day-to-day work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professionals no longer need to speculate on the potential for AI, according to Steve Hasker President and CEO, Thomson Reuters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s been considerable discussion in recent years about how generative artificial intelligence (genAl) could affect the careers of professionals.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey are now witnessing its effects firsthand,\u201d said Steve.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMany professionals are actually using the technology; they have a better sense of how it will impact their lives.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">GenAI to save hundreds of hours<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Future of Professionals report found the productive gains from optimising work with a genAI assistant can equate to an estimated 200 hours of manual work saved per professional. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith rapid adoption underway and professionals finding a variety of practical use cases for Al, we\u2019re embarking on an exciting era for these industries \u2013 and for the economy more broadly,\u201d Steve added.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professionals we surveyed revealed that \u2018critical time savings\u2019 is one of the highest priorities. This common thread from our research indicates that administrative tasks are a universal roadblock to higher level work. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scope of the research included 2,200 professionals and C-level corporate executives from 50 countries.
